Today, June 2, 2015, 100 Men Who Give A Damn co-founders John Atkins, William Cahill, and Sean Stack presented a cheque on behalf of the organization to Active Start. The presentation was graciously hosted by BMW St. John’s who were also hosted the April 27th meeting of 100 Men where members voted for Active Start to become the recipients of their collective donation. BMW St. John’s also generously donated an additional $5,000 to the efforts of the 100 Men membership, which brought the check presentation total to a considerable $18,100.
Active Start in partnership with Sport NL and Rugby NL, provides the Active Start program for children up to 6 years of age completely free of charge. The Active Start organization aims to promote sufficient physical activity to enhance brain function, imagination, motor skills, coordination, and social skills. Active Start maintains that these efforts allow children acquire confidence and skills, which would encourage a lifetime of participation in sport and activity.
We’re thrilled to be joining with our friends 100 Women Who Care St. Johns for our next meeting, where we’ll be making a combined contribution. This festive evening will be kindly hosted by our friends at Easter Seals on July 22nd. Learn More.
